ÜLFI™ MAGMA
Wood-fired cooking. Concentrated.
A true rocket stove made of thick Corten steel, designed and manufactured in France. 130 × 130 mm square firebox, welded structure, adjustable draft, and a large removable cooking cradle: a small wood-fired kitchen built to serve.
One fire. Endless uses.
Place a cast-iron Dutch oven and let it simmer. Boil a pot. Prepare your coffee outdoors. Sear meat in a cast-iron pan. Add the dedicated plancha or transform the MAGMA into a true small barbecue using its grate and charcoal cradle.
Rocket stove. Stove. Plancha. Barbecue.
A single heat source: the fire.
Two short videos to see the MAGMA in action, in real conditions.
A square firebox. True rocket stove draft.
The heart of the MAGMA is a 130 × 130 mm square-section firebox. Its architecture naturally directs flames and hot gases upwards, directly under the cooking area.
Air fuels the firebox from below while the vertical chimney promotes draft. Once the firebox is up to temperature, combustion becomes particularly intense with a limited amount of wood.
Full Corten. Not a coat of paint.
The MAGMA is manufactured from 3 and 5 mm Corten steel. No exterior paint located a few centimeters from a very high-temperature firebox: it is the material itself that constitutes the product's finish.
Exposed to air and humidity, Corten gradually develops its characteristic patina. Its color evolves naturally from raw metal to brown and orange shades. Each MAGMA thus gradually acquires its own unique look.
Laser cut. Interlocked. Welded in France.
The elements of the MAGMA are laser-cut and then designed to interlock precisely before welding. This construction allows the various parts to be correctly positioned, creating a rigid structure and limiting unnecessary assembly.
The main body is delivered fully assembled and welded. No assembly of the rocket stove itself is necessary.
A large cooking cradle. Now detachable.
The MAGMA is equipped with a large upper cradle measuring 64 cm deep × 33 cm wide × 10 cm high. It offers a generous surface to accommodate pans, Dutch ovens, pots, and cooking accessories.
The cradle is now fully detachable, which facilitates transport, storage, and cleaning of the MAGMA, without turning the product into a kit.
The MAGMA is still delivered ready to use: no assembly required.
The details that make the difference.
Designed for cooking, not just making a flame.
With its 64 × 33 cm cradle and its upper support, the MAGMA can accommodate numerous outdoor cooking utensils:
From rocket stove to barbecue.
The MAGMA has two dedicated accessories that utilize its large upper cradle.
A dedicated steel plancha allows you to sear meats, vegetables, fish, bread, and other foods directly over the fire.
Combined with its charcoal cradle, it allows you to transform the MAGMA into a true small barbecue and cook directly over the embers.
Rocket stove, stove, plancha, or barbecue: simply choose the cooking method of the moment.

Made in France.

We chose thick Corten steel and true metal construction rather than a multitude of thin sheet metal parts intended solely to reduce weight and production costs.
