ÜLFI™ MAGMA
Wood fire. Concentrated.
A true rocket stove made of 3 and 5 mm Corten steel, fully assembled and welded in France. Intense combustion, powerful draft, and very little wood for outdoor cooking with a difference.
Not a disposable camping stove.
The MAGMA was born from a simple idea: take the extremely efficient principle of the rocket stove and turn it into a true outdoor cooking appliance, built like an ÜLFI product.
No ultra-thin sheet metal body. No paint that eventually burns off. No lightweight structure that warps from heating.
3 and 5 mm Corten, stainless steel, laser-cut parts, a fully welded construction, and around 14 kg on the scale.
You set it down. You light a fire. You cook.
One fire. A multitude of uses.
Place a cast iron pot and let it simmer. Boil a large pot. Make your coffee or tea outdoors. Sear meat in a cast iron pan. Use a plancha or transform the MAGMA into a small barbecue with its dedicated grill.
The MAGMA was not just designed to heat water. It was designed for cooking.
Two short videos to see the MAGMA in action, in real conditions.
Why does a rocket stove heat so much?
The principle relies on a vertical architecture that naturally creates a strong draft. Air feeds the firebox, flames are directed towards the vertical chimney, and heat is concentrated directly under your cooking vessel.
Result: the MAGMA achieves vivid and reactive combustion from relatively small pieces of wood.
Corten. Not a coat of paint.
The body of the MAGMA is made of 3 and 5 mm Corten steel. This material is particularly suited for an appliance designed to live outdoors and regularly withstand high temperatures.
Corten gradually develops its own patina. Its shade evolves with time, making each MAGMA unique.
No exterior paint that peels near the firebox: the material itself gives the MAGMA its character.
14 kg. And that's no accident.
The MAGMA weighs approximately 14 kg. This weight comes directly from its construction choices: thick steel, generous cooking support, stainless steel elements, and a fully assembled structure.
Once placed on the ground, the MAGMA is stable. You can place a cast iron pot, a Dutch oven, or a heavy pan on it without feeling like you're cooking on a folding stove.
Laser cut. Interlocking. Welded.
Every element of the MAGMA is laser cut. The different parts have been designed to interlock precisely before welding.
This method allows us to achieve a particularly rigid and repeatable construction while limiting imprecise assemblies.
Details matter.
Generous cooking support.
The MAGMA is equipped with a two-part upper support, offering approximately 40 cm of support width — intentionally generous to accommodate more than just a small camping pot:
And the MAGMA can go even further.
We have developed dedicated accessories to transform the rocket stove into a true small outdoor kitchen.
To be installed directly on the MAGMA for searing meats, vegetables, fish, eggs, or bread directly over a wood fire.
A dedicated grill with its cradle allows the MAGMA to be used as a real small barbecue.
Rocket stove, burner, plancha, or barbecue: you adapt the MAGMA to the cooking of the moment.

Rather than asking you to take our word for it, we've created a complete series to show you how the MAGMA works in real-world conditions: draft, combustion, amount of wood, and accessories.

Technical specifications
No kit. No screws. No assembly.
The MAGMA is delivered to you fully assembled.
No panels to fit together with each use. No bolts to tighten. No assembly instructions.
You take it out. You add wood. You light it.
Made in France.
The MAGMA is designed and manufactured in France in small batches.
Laser cutting, bending, assembly, welding, and quality control: we chose local manufacturing rather than producing a lightweight rocket stove thousands of miles away.
It is obviously more expensive. But that is also precisely the raison d'être of the MAGMA.
3 and 5 mm Corten steel. Approximately 14 kg. Fully welded. Made in France.
Not the cheapest rocket stove.
A rocket stove built to last.
Small in size.
Serious in construction.
Corten Steel • Laser Cutting • Welded Construction • Made in France
Fire, a few pieces of wood, and something good to cook.
MAGMA takes care of the rest.
